Short CV of Rosa Gabarra

Rosa Gabarra is a research scientist in entomology at the Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology (IRTA) which depends of the Government of Catalonia, Spain (http://www.irta.es). Her key qualifications are IPM, biological control including mass-rearing of parasitoids and predators, effects of pesticides on natural enemies, predator and parasitoid interactions, molecular methods for prey identification on polyphagous predators and functional biodiversity.  She has experience on IPM application on greenhouse and open field vegetables, ornamentals and stored food. She has been involved in several EU-funded research projects on biological control.  She teaches biological control and IPM in two Masters Programs of the University of Barcelona and the University Autonoma of Barcelona.

She has attended numerous IOBC/WPRS WG meetings since 1987. She is an active member and has participated in all the WG "Integrated Control in Protected Crops, Mediterranean Climate"  meetings.
